We traveled with you and your driver through Sri Lanka from December 26th to January 4 this year and we had a great time!
We loved Sri Lanka, actually what is not to like! The weather was beautiful, the people are friendly, the food excellent, the nature varies from beautiful beaches, paddy fields, tea plantations and jungle. The only drawback were the roads and the reckless Sri Lankan drivers. But we had an excellent! driver who drove us around safely which is rather a challenge!
You proved yourself not only as good and punctual guide, but you looked with great care after our children. With you little magic stone, Tom managed to do the tour without any car sickness and the your magic leaf helped the recovery of his wounds when he had a little accident near the waterfall. You stopped at a real picturesque 'restaurant' where Tom and Lauren ate the best roti ever. You invited us at your home for lunch where we again ate the best roti ever (and best curry and french fries ever by the way).
We almost forgot to mention that on New Years Eve you decorated the van with lights and Happy New Year garlands and that you organized a birthday cake for John. Writing all these fantastic memories, we really feel you were not only our guide but you are our friend!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012. We reached Air Port in time. Flight was right time. everything went on well. we reached chennai at 8.00 AM. From there we took train, and reached home at night 10.00 PM. everything fine. All are back to normal routine. I once again thanks lakshmi and others for giving me and family a comfortable stay and visit at SRI Lanka. Thanks once again. This is not an end. Let our relationship continue. Hi Lakshman,

How are you? Have not been in touch for a while as the new house has kept us very busy. We will not be visiting Sri Lanka again this year as we have so much to do with the new house, but we do hope to be visiting again next year and hope to see you again then.

However, a friend of ours and his wife are coming to Sri Lanka in December and does want to go touring. Are you still in that business and will you be able to help him if he contacts you with where he wants to go? We have told him about you.

If so, can you please e-mail me with your telephone number so that he can phone you. Also shall I give him your e-mail address so that he can get in touch with dates, etc, before he comes?

Hope your family are all well. We have become grandparents since we saw you last, a little girl, 4 months old, her name is Amelia. I have attached a picture to this e-mail with our son James.

Mr. Wasula Wijegunawardane of Hilton is a friend of mine, he referred me to your tour company for a trustworthy driver and reasonably priced A/C car for the trip described below. We estimate the mileage to be under 700 kms for the round trip, which according to Mr. Wasula shoulds translate to an all inclusive road-package price from you of about $185 or better (at LKR30/km.) Can you please acknowledge receipt of this request, and confirm pricing so there are no last minute issues. Our hotels are already booked and paid for. (He may have already reserved a car for us at your company, please check)

Day1 Oct 18th, Thursday: Colombo: Galle Face Hotel pickup at approx. 8 am
Go to Sigiriya for day sightseeing (to stay at Hotel Sigiriya).

Day2 Oct 19th, Friday: 8:30 am, leave for Anuradhapura and Awkana for sightseeing and return back to Sigiriya Hotel to stay overnight again.

Day3 Oct 20th, Saturday: 9 am from Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa, Dambulla for 2-3 hr. stop here, then to Kandy (stay overnight at Swiss Residence Kandy).

Day4 Oct 21st, Sunday: 8 am: spend 3-4 hours at Kandy (and possibly pinnawela) drop us back at Galle Face Hotel in Colombo by late afternoon or day's end.

My wife and I are visiting Sri Lanka from Dec 15th to Dec 20th and I was given your email by a friend mine who is a big fan of Sri Lanka. My friend recommended me to contact your regarding a car and a driver to take us from Colombo Airport to Galle. He also recommended us to speak to you for those days in which we want to travel within Sri Lanka.

So I guess my first question is: do you provide airport transfers from Colombo Airport to Galle? And how much is it?

So the Maldives was good, very relaxing, we did snorkeling, scuba diving, unfortunately it was often raining. But we enjoyed it. Our trip in SL left us some really good souvenir, we hope to be able to come back soon. And if I have any friends our family coming, we will recommend you. We visited your web site. Congratulation, it is very professional! We hope you will get lots of tourists and Russians !

Otherwise, we are looking for an apartment, and Jelena is looking for a job ( not easy with economic crisis these days….)

Arrived back in England on schedule on Wednesday evening to very cold weather -2C. Miising the sri Lankan warmth.
Many thanks for your help in taking us round for those days. We thoroughlyenjoyed it especially the Yala trip. We should have 2 nights there as it was so good. Anyway next time.

You aslked me about our tour company. It is Voyage Jules Verne (VJV) based in London. their address is 21 Dorset Square, London NW1 6QE. They have several phone numbers mainly ones to their sales department trying to sell holidays. However switchboard is
0044-20-7616-1000 and Operations is 0044-20-7616-1060.
I am not sure they are the right people to contact as they tend to source the actual holidays
from local companies. for instance when we went to Viet Nam they used Asia Travel

The local rep who handled the VJV/Kuoni clients is Kaleem who works for Whittall Boustead Travel, 148 Vauxhall Street, Colombo and his mobile is 0777-699140. I think you may have more success trying to make contact at your end than through the London companies.
Even this may be difficult as large UK travel companies want excursions for groups of people rather than singles. However it is worth trying to see what opportunities there are. Good Luck

"We are independent travellers and were looking for a holiday in Sri Lanka to include some of the sights plus a beach rest. Jane found the Nalro website and contacted them by email. They replied promptly and suggested a tour including Anaradhapura, Dambulla, Pollonaruwa, Sigiriya and Kandy ending at Unawatuna Beach on the South coast. We decided to spend a little longer in Kandy and to miss out Pollonaruwa. Lakshman met us at the airport and accompanied us as our driver guide all the way to Unawatuna. He also collected us on our last day and took us to the airport. It was seamless and personal customer service from start to finish and also good value for money. We have recommended Nalro to friends We had a really great holiday and enjoyed every minute. We visited some very interesting places and stayed in some very nice hotels. We particularly like the Tissawewa Rest House in Anaradhapura and the Unawatuna Beach Resort (we have left favourable comments on tripadvisor.com). Many thanks to Lakshman for his always excellent customer service. We will be back.

Thank you for the service provided - we all enjoyed our stay very much in sri lanka. the hotels you provided were excellent and both Raja and Lashman were very good, helpful and kind, especially when 2 of the group had to return early. I met my friend who returned early yesterday and she is talking about visiting sri lanka as she is very unhappy to have missed the rest of the tour.

The quotation you gave for the flights from colombo to jaffna - is this for return fare? Also how often is the flight (daily)? and can you do thebooking of flight for me?
